Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 August 2026

House of Ads plans and manages social media advertising. This policy explains what personal information we handle, why we handle it, who we share it with, and the control you have over it.

1. Who we are

In this policy, “House of Ads”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to House of Ads, an advertising agency operating in Queensland, Australia. We are the entity responsible for the personal information described here.

We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to:

Our Meta application is internal. It is used only by House of Ads personnel to manage advertising accounts we have been granted access to. It is not offered to the public, it does not onboard third-party users, and it does not sell, rent or trade data obtained through Meta’s platforms.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically on websites

When you visit a website or landing page we operate, we and our technology providers may collect:

Advertising and measurement data

We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, and equivalent tools from other advertising platforms, to measure advertising performance and to build audiences. Where we send conversion events to Meta from a server, personal identifiers such as email address or phone number are hashed (irreversibly scrambled) before transmission in line with Meta’s requirements. We do not send Meta plain-text contact details through these tools.

Client advertising account data

When engaged by a client, we access their advertising accounts to run and report on campaigns. This may include campaign settings, spend, performance metrics and aggregated audience insights. We act on the client’s instructions in relation to that data.

4. Why we collect it

We handle personal information to:

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use data obtained through Meta’s platforms for any purpose other than delivering services to the client whose account it belongs to.

5. Who we share it with

We may disclose personal information to:

Overseas disclosure

Several of the platforms and providers we use store and process data outside Australia, principally in the United States and the European Union. By using our services or our websites, you acknowledge that your information may be handled overseas, where privacy protections may differ from those in Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure recipients handle information consistently with the APPs.

6. Cookies and your choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them — though some parts of a site may not work as intended if you do.

You can also control how advertising is personalised to you directly with the platforms:

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include restricted access to accounts and systems, encrypted connections, and limiting the personnel who can access client data to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will respond in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

8. How long we keep it

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law — including tax and corporate record-keeping obligations, which generally require records to be kept for seven years. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

9. Accessing and correcting your information

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period. In limited circumstances we may decline a request, in which case we will explain why in writing.

You may also ask us to delete personal information we hold about you. If the information sits inside a client’s advertising account rather than our own systems, we will pass your request to that client and assist where we can.

10. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at candice@houseofads.com.au and we will investigate and respond.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published at houseofads.com.au/privacy, with the revision date shown at the top.
